Main criteria when buying a new car is its exterior design. We choose the look that will represent us on the road. The problem with all cars is that interior and exterior do not have much in common. Once the driver enters the vehicle, connection to exterior image is lost. Mirror concept overcomes this problem by taking the form of car's front mask, and mirroring it to car instrument panel. The dashboard is abstracted and simplified version of the from mask, and is further modified to accommodate driver's ergonomic needs. Driver shares the same view on the car as other traffic participants.
This concept was my entry to AutoR 2013 design competition with a goal to design interior of Dok-Ing XD, electric car from Croatia. Three screens was one of the requirements.
